What is a “Rethinker? A rethinker is one who questions, doubts (as far as possible), all things. A rethinker seeks questions, not answers, as the path to truth. A rethinker does not blindly follow authority, no matter how firmly established. Hence, a rethinker.

| To quote Descartes: "If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things." A rethinker is one who questions, doubts (as far as possible), all things. A rethinker seeks questions, not answers, as the path to truth. A rethinker does not blindly follow authority, no matter how firmly extablished. A rethinker is at heart, and in the mind, a rebel - even a revolutionary. A rethinker is a free-thinker who seeks to break the chains of those who would control ones thoughts. A rethinker is a black sheep in the blindly-following herd of white sheep. As such, a rethinker is unusual. A rethinker is not concerned with fitting in or conforming to accepted status quo. A rethinker seeks a better way than the path most trodden. A rethinker is apt to say "I think" rather than "I believe". A rethinker understands that belief does not equal truth... |
